New Year challenge

Hello there, I started the new year with a challenge to make or complete items for my family, so I had challenged myself to finish a quilt I'd started too long ago (too mention) and only needed to be bound, two coats for my youngest daughter and a quilt for my little boy who is only using his one cot items to keep warm but they look funny on his junior bed and a quilt for my man and I, so far its nearly halfway through february and I've only bound summer's Hannah Montana quilt, it wasn't hard to do but it seemed to take days,

on the first day I cut out over 7m's of 6 1/2cm strips for the binding, the next evening I had to iron it in half then stitched it the quilt no problems so far but the next two nights was spent turning the binding and hand stitching it in place.

This is the bit I wasn't looking forward, so after two long nights of hand stitching and lots of murder mysteries on the box I completed it and then the next bit was to wash it ready for my daughter to use and enjoy, I just hope she still likes Hannah Montana.

I liked adding the fleece underside (it wasn't my friend at first) it adds warmth and softness.
I am pleased it's done now my other daughter wants a Thomas the Tank engine one (she'll have to wait for that one)

  2. This is only my second one and it took me ages to restart it but I'm happy I did. and I've also learnt things that I'll do differently on the Thomas one. Good luck with it.
